FREEPORT, Maine (AP) — An organization that runs a popular coastal farm and environmental center in Maine plans to launch an education, training and research facility.
Wolfe's Neck Farm Foundation is set to receive a $2.5 million loan from the federal government for its Smith Center for Education and Research. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a Jan. 26 statement the center will let Wolfe's Neck “expand upon their ability to engage in charitable, education and scientific activities related to alternative farming techniques, conservation management, research, education and public stewardship.”
