Local industry leaders told USC Aiken administrators they needed employees with strong skills in cyber security, virtual reality and distribution to meet the business demands of the 21st century.

The College of Sciences and Engineering responded with two new undergraduate majors, applied computer science and applied mathematics, the university will offer for the first time this fall.
