DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 5, 2019--Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) announces the appointment of Emily Roberts to vice president. Roberts takes over the role from Jennifer Jones Paton, who was named CBSA President and CEO in November of 2018. Roberts will oversee Colorado BioScience Association’s policy and advocacy work at the state and federal level, and collaborate with Colorado BioScience Association's President & CEO and board of directors on the development and execution of strategic initiatives for continued growth of the Association.

Roberts brings a strong background in public policy and advocacy work to CBSA, with deep bioscience industry expertise. Before joining CBSA, she served as director of advocacy and strategic alliances at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where she directed the We Work for Health program and raised awareness about the industry’s economic impact. Emily also focused on state government relations and alliance development for four years at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), before she joined PhRMA.
