Students in the fifth and sixth grades at Hellenic American Academy got a boost to their science education recently when Bill Regan, back right, a perfusionist at Boston Children's Hospital, taught them a fun class. During a lesson on the circulatory and respiratory systems of the human body in Science class, Regan, a parent of an HAA student, had students in Jay Grasso's class dress as if they were going into an operating room. He also simulated the pumping of the heart with a heart machine that showed water being pumped. He did an outstanding job helping students to understand things like how much blood is in their body, and how fast the heart pumps. From left with Regan and Grasso are Christina Routsis, Stathis Stathopoulos, Themistocles Pelekoudas, Briana Hardy, Ava Regan, Zoe Jackson and Giah Saldarriaga. COURTESY PHOTO
