The UK Home Office has sent an e-mail apology to 240 EU citizens who requested to be considered for settled status in the UK as part of the EU Settlement Scheme program after accidentally leaking their e-mail addresses because of a so-called "administrative error."

The 240 unlucky people who got their e-mails leaked received an e-mail from the Home Office asking them to resubmit their information, however, the e-mails they received had all the recipients in plain sight within the CC field instead of the more appropriate BCC which would have hidden the list of e-mails from prying eyes.
