I’m pretty out of shape as a programmer. I’ve been away for about 3 years. These days, I’m a mommy blogger who dabbles in WordPress. I was never a true software engineer. Although I programmed steadily for the first five years of my IT career working for Wall Street banks, I eventually migrated to take on system support and project management roles. I can say with confidence that I have enough experience to pick up any programming language with ease. However, if you ask me to do regular expressions like a guru, I will tell you that I’m not that person. I’m just not a syntax driven, detail-oriented person who loves a mind boggling challenge of coming up with multiple expressions to do the same job just for the sake of a programming challenge.
