Back in May, Bloomberg reported that Microsoft was planning a line of lower-priced Surface tablets to compete with the Apple iPad. Today, the new Surface tablet has been spotted at the FCC. The FCC documents were first discovered by WinFuture and it reveals that a new Surface-branded device is likely on the way.
Previous reports suggested that the new Surface tablet would be priced around $400 and it will be aimed at the lower-end of the market. With the release of cheaper Surface tablets, Microsoft is looking to hit back at the Cupertino giant.
