After a 13-year wait since the last installment, Kingdom Hearts 3 will finally be released on Jan. 25, 2019.

Director Tetsuya Nomura made a surprise appearance at the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour in Los Angeles on Saturday night to share the news through a trailer. While recordings of the trailer itself were restricted, fans that got first dibs on the news were quick to share on social media. The Kingdom Hearts team later confirmed the date on Twitter, although the trailer itself has yet to be shown.
