Madden NFL 19 has a special edition cover star and, like the player himself, it’s a provocative choice: Terrell Owens. He’s the star of the “Hall of Fame Edition” of Madden NFL 19, which will launch Aug. 10.

Owens, the iconoclast wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, is a newly minted Pro Football Hall of Famer. He appears on the box wearing the Cowboys’ No. 81 — which, again, is not without controversy, for those Dallas fans who remember and may never forgive him celebrating on their 50-yard star logo after a touchdown in 2000, when he was a Niner.
