The Spire of Stars raid lair launched last Friday, May 11, when players were able to jump in and tackle Warmind’s hardest challenge. But the Spire was much harder than past Destiny raids. This is mostly thanks to the recommended power level for the encounters being higher than most players can meet in one week.

The first encounter in Spire of Stars is recommended at power level 370, thirty levels above the soft cap of 340 that players will get naturally from completing the campaign. Even with most of the popular Destiny streamers running three characters through all of the gearing opportunities before the raid lair released, most players weren’t able to get much higher than 365. The final boss, which seemed to give players the most trouble, is 380 power.
