Oculus Go’s social apps look like its best feature

As a games machine, Oculus Go looks decidedly ordinary. The lack of Oculus Rift’s motion-sensing controllers that allow me to reach into game worlds renders this a kind of semi-virtual reality experience, a lesser product that shortchanges VR gaming as a concept.
And yet, despite my slightly snobbish attitude to this entry-level VR headset, I plan to buy a unit at launch. This is mainly due to its simple, elegant social functionality.
