An Easter egg in Battlefield 1 has led to a teaser for the next game in the franchise. A reveal date has been set for May 23, with the tagline "Never Be the Same."

Eurogamer reports that a recent update to Battlefield 1 added a button system to the Fort de Vaux map, which corresponded with a door marked "Isolement" (roughly translated as solitary confinement). Pressing the buttons in the correct order opened the room to a cell, with a painting of a white horse and some leaky pipes. Those pipes were dripping in morse code, which the community decoded to spell out the URL ea.com/neverbethesame. That site has the May 23 date teased, along with the #Battlefield hashtag to make sure there's absolutely no confusion.
