The rollout of last week's 3.5 update for Fortnite wasn't particularly smooth. Shortly after the patch was released, the game was rendered unplayable for many due to a variety of technical issues. Epic offered some free items to make up for the outage, and now the studio is giving away a second batch of freebies to all players.

As another gift to players for the technical issues that plagued Fortnite last week, Epic is offering another set of free items in both Battle Royale and Save the World modes. Battle Royale players can now claim a pack of 20 Battle Stars, which can be used to level up the Battle Pass and, in turn, earn rewards. Save the World players, meanwhile, will receive 1600 Seasonal Gold.
