At first, this week’s Nintendo Switch eShop update looks like one of the emptiest ever. A Nintendo Switch port of Don’t Starve, an eerie, artsy survival game from 2013, seemingly leads a pack of relative unknowns. Buried within the list, however, is a lovely game that’s perfectly pocket-sized, and one you may have missed after it first launched.
Burly Men at Sea, out now on Switch, may sound like a bro-y action game based on its title. It’s far from it: The game is a mixture of a point-and-click adventure and a visual novel, according to developer Brain&Brain. In Burly Men at Sea, three fishermen star in a folktale that’s narrated and sculpted by the player. There are multiple storylines to craft (which often takes as little as 10 minutes), each one leading the Brothers Beard through a creature-filled Scandinavia.
