Publisher Activision confirmed today that Destiny 2 will get a “major expansion” at the end of 2018, but didn’t provide specifics on what the content drop would entail. News of a major expansion came during an Activision Blizzard investor call.
Developer Bungie recently outlined its plans for Destiny 2 through fall 2018 in response to player discontent. The developer later went into greater detail on what players can expect to see in Destiny 2 through May, when the game’s second expansion is scheduled to drop. But players hadn’t gotten confirmation about a major expansion beyond Curse of Osiris and the second, unnamed expansion until now.
