The holidays are almost here, and Xbox promotions are upon us. Microsoft announced recently that you can now grab a month of Xbox Live Gold or a month of Game Pass for just $1.

This is a great deal if you want to cheaply try out a bunch of games over the holidays. For $2 total, you get access to two services which grant access to games. Xbox Live, in addition to giving you online multiplayer access, also comes with a set of free games every month. This month, subscribers can download Warhammer: End Times - Verminitide, Back to the Future: The Game, and several other titles. In January, you'll get Zombi, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, and other games. Free access to these titles only lasts as long as you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, however.
