That’s enough to put him in a 10-way tie for 97th place. It also makes ol’ Gaben the 43rd richest tech billionaire in America, and the 427th richest person in the world. Newell’s ranking should continue to rise over the coming years – according to Forbes’ estimates, he was only worth 4.1 billion in 2016. Steam isn’t going anywhere, and neither is Newell’s Uncle Scrooge-like flow of cash.
