The Wolfenstein series isn’t much for subtlety or self-restraint, reveling in its unique brand of Nazi-smashing mayhem even as other games look to tone things down. That said, even Wolfenstein has been reluctant to tackle some subjects. For instance, Wolfenstein: The New Order didn’t feature Adolph Hitler or any real members of the Nazi regime, preferring to separate itself from grim reality every-so-slightly by focusing on fictional comic-book-style villains.

Well, it seems that’s about to change in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Bethesda has dropped a launch trailer for the game, and it features a brief cameo by Hitler himself, along with all the requisite brutality and insanity. This isn’t the robot-body-sporting Hitler we saw in the classic Wolfenstein games – this version is still very much human, sporting a limp, grey hair, and sickly wheeze. You can check out the launch trailer, below.
