Since revealing Assassin’s Creed Origins at E3 2017, Ubisoft has been eager to talk about the game’s massive open-world recreation of Ancient Egypt, revamped combat, and other new features, but we haven’t heard as much about the whole “Origins” angle. The game is supposed to show us how the millennia-spanning rivalry between the Assassins and Templars began, which is a pretty big deal! So, what’s with the lack of info?

Thankfully, Ubisoft provides a few more details about Assassin’s Creed Origins’ story in their new Birth of the Brotherhood trailer. Specific plot points are still a bit murky, but the trailer traces protagonist Bayek’s journey as he goes from a Medjay (a scout and protector of the Pharaoh) to something more. By the end of the trailer, we hear Bayek utter the word “Assassin,” and deploy one of the Brotherhood’s iconic wrist blades for the first time. Check out the trailer, below.
