Square Enix’s new RPG for the Nintendo Switch is an eight-character “2D-HD” journey operating under the codename Project Octopath Traveller. The gameplay trailer that Nintendo showed today during its Direct can be seen above.

Nintendo first announced the game, which is being developed by the Bravely Default team, in January during the company’s one of the earliest Switch event. Each character is equipped with different skills that, according to Nintendo, will help them carve out their own paths as the story progresses. The story takes place in a world called Orsterra.
