On Sunday, Nintendo released a new commercial for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that promised “more fighters, more battles, more fun.” The ad runs through a good portion of the roster, from veteran fighters like Mario, Link and Kirby to newcomers Isabelle, Inkling and Ridley. Nintendo went with a noteworthy directional choice here: There’s no music in the commercial.
So, as with all things Smash, Nintendo fans stepped in to remix and meme-ify the ad with musical choices of their own, and the results have been spectacular so far. (You can watch the original version of the ad up above.)
