OK, let's start with the glaringly obvious. It's a glorious-looking game so you need some hardware to do it justice. Grab yourself a big 4K and HDR-enabled telly and an Xbox One X ($460 at Amazon) or PS4 Pro that'll output at the same. I'm using my 55-inch Cello QLED TV which is not only pin-sharp, but has glorious colours thanks to being HDR10 enabled. Lovely stuff. 

Next, sort out your sound. Beneath my TV is an Edifier S50 soundbar that will wrap me in all the sounds of the Old West to the point I believe I'm riding alongside them, terrified of being shot, getting dysentery or getting shot while suffering from dysentery. At least, that's my hope.
