Nintendo has been regularly holding Splatfest events for Splatoon 2 every month since the game released back in July 2017, but this month's event will be a little different from the usual fare. Next week, the company is kicking off Splatoween, a special global event encompassing a Halloween-inspired Splatfest, themed stage decorations, and some new Halloween headgear.

Unlike most Splatfests, which are typically only around for 24 hours, next week's event will run for a full 48, beginning on October 19 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET and ending the same time on October 21. As usual, players will have to join one of two teams and fight for their side by taking part in Turf Wars. Fittingly, the two options this time are Team Trick or Team Treat.
