Today, in advance of the annual Tokyo Games Show, Sega announced the release of Sega Genesis Classics for the Nintendo Switch. The 50-plus game bundle will include fan favorites such as the Golden Axe, Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage series as well as cult classics like Kid Chameleon and ToeJam & Earl.

This is the first time that most of these Genesis title will be playable on Nintendo’s hybrid console. Many titles will include their original local co-op modes, which will be enhanced by the novel Joy-Con controllers that ship with the Switch. Sega said that the collection will include many modern upgrades, including online multiplayer, achievements, mirror mode, rewind and save functionality.
