With Nintendo enjoying great success in the field, Sony has announced its own mini classic console. The company has announced the PlayStation Classic, a mini version of the original PlayStation. It comes with 20 "generation-defining" games, and it launches in December.

A complete list of games has not yet been announced. So far, the PlayStation Blog has only confirmed five titles: Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms. There's no indication of what genres or companies will be represented by the remaining 15.
