Speaking with Gamespot during Gamescom 2018, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said once again that the delay enjoyed by Assassin’s Creed Origins last year helped the game’s success and added that fans are in for a treat with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, due on October 2nd.

I think it really gave the team the possibility to really bring what they wanted to and the community has been responding very, very well to it, and when I see what we are coming with Odyssey, I know that the community that got back in with Origins will be amazed.
