Nvidia RTX 2070 prices will start at $499

Nvidia's new RTX graphics cards are coming September 20, and they aren't going to be cheap. As with the GTX 1080 and 1070, Nvidia is launching Founders Edition cards that cost $100 over MSRP, and they'll be sold directly through Nvidia. This time around, those cards will actually be overclocked, rather than running at stock clocks. But if you don't need a card on day one (or care about being in the Founders club), you'll be able to save some money by buying an aftermarket card from the usual suspects like EVGA, Asus and MSI.
We're still looking for aftermarket card prices as new hardware trickles out, but Nvidia confirmed that the RTX 2070 will start at $499, and the RTX 2080 will start at $699. Will you actually be able to find hardware at those prices? If past launches (and inflated prices due to scarcity) are anything to go by, it could be tough.
