Overwatch is one of the best multiplayer shooters around. If you've been itching to pick the game up on console, the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the Legendary Edition, which gives you extra skins for your heroes, is available for $30 through Amazon Prime Day. That's a 50% discount. You'll have to act fast though, as the deal ends Monday 9:20 PM PT / Tuesday 12:20 AM ET. [Update: Despite its original Lightning Deal status, Overwatch remains available for $30 on both consoles. However, Amazon lists a 2-4 week shipping estimate. Whether that's accurate remains to be seen, but if you're desperate to get the game at that price--maybe you're fond of the new hamster character, Wrecking Ball--you can still do so.]
Overwatch takes after titles like Team Fortress 2, pitting teams of players against one another in objective based multiplayer matches. Blizzard's shooter features a diverse range of fighters, from the angelic Mercy who soars above the battlefield and heals teammates, to the stoic Hanzo who hunts down enemies with his bow, an assortment of trick arrows, and mystical Japanese techniques. The game earned a cult-like following before it even released, and continues to reward its player base with regular gameplay updates, patches, and new maps and characters.
