Destiny 2’s PvP offerings have remained static since the game launched last year. But Game Informer reports that Destiny 2: Forsaken will introduce a new Crucible gametype called Breakthrough, a competitive-only mode that tasks players with capturing points.
When the match starts, two teams of four will be vying to capture the same point, called the Breaker. Once the Breaker has been captured, the mode will shift from a neutral game to attackers versus defenders. Those who won the Breaker will begin assaulting a new point, the enemy team’s Vault. The losers will need to defend their Vault from the attackers.
