Following its late January console debut, the Monster Hunter: World PC release date has finally been announced—August 9, 2018. Check out its announcement trailer above.

Originally down for a Fall/Autumn PC release (which Google informs me starts on September 23), the series' desktop introduction comes earlier than planned. "This is the first time we’ve taken a mainline Monster Hunter game to PC," producer Ryozo Tsujimoto tells us in a written Q&A, "so we wanted to take the time to get it right and do the proper research and preparation."
