It will ship with 18 superheroes, eight villains, and 10 locations from various Marvel comics. Eight heroes have been revealed so far: Captain Marvel, The Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Deadpool, Black Bolt, Crystal, Thor, and Black Panther. Considering those characters' abilities, that should make for a good variety of play styles. More characters will be announced in the lead-up to the game's launch.
