After over a decade of fan requests, Ridley is finally making his Smash Bros. debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch. Game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed the longtime Metroid villain as a playable fighter during today’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct.

Ridley is a large and frightening fighter. He uses his big, purple fists to smash other combatants — as one would expect from a Smash Bros. game — but he can also sweep his tale for powerful attacks. But no space dragon is complete without the ability to breathe fire, and Ridley is no exception. For his Final Smash, Ridley pins an enemy against Samus’ ship and blasts them with energy for high percent damage.
