Nintendo announced a brand-new action game called Daemon X Machina during its E3 2018 Nintendo Direct presentation, offering a tantalizing glimpse at the stylized mech action experience coming to Switch. Later, during Nintendo’s Treehouse Live stream, the game’s director, Kenichiro Tsukuda, took a deeper dive into the game’s mechanics. If you missed it then, now’s a good chance to catch up on the stream.

In the clip, Tsukuda walks viewers through character customization and a brief look at mech customization, but most of the gameplay presentation focuses on action. Fans of FromSoftware’s Armored Core series will probably find something to like in Daemon X Machina, which appears to be full of mech-on-mech action in open battlefields, and on-the-fly customization of the game’s flying mechs, called Arsenals.
