Two days after setting a new single-day record for confirmed coronavirus cases Friday, California counted another 2,190 cases Sunday, bringing its total to 130,690.

The state released guidelines last week, allowing individual counties to begin reopening gyms, bars, campgrounds, professional sports and a wide range of businesses. At the same time, the number of new reported COVID-19 cases has continued to climb in recent weeks.
