Fifty people have now died after testing positive for the novel coronavirus in Santa Clara County, according to new data released by the county’s Public Health Department on Friday.

The Public Health Department reported three new deaths and 42 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Santa Clara County Friday. There have now been 1,484 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Santa Clara County, which is the Bay Area’s most populous county.
