Uber to close L.A. office and cut 80 jobs

Uber confirmed Wednesday that it is closing its customer support office in Los Angeles in a move that will result in the loss of approximately 80 jobs at the ride-hailing giant.
Uber said a portion of the jobs will be transferred outside the United States, reportedly to a center in Manila in the Philippines.
