Salesforce’s co-CEO Keith Block has stepped down unexpectedly, leaving Marc Benioff to steer the software company solo. 

Block ascended from chief operating officer to the co-CEO role with Benioff (pictured) in August 2018. He will stay on at the company as an adviser, he said in a statement on Tuesday.
