PLACER COUNTY – As crews continued to battle a reinvigorated Mosquito Fire in Placer and El Dorado counties, a separate blaze broke out along Interstate 80, spurring a closure of the roadway in both directions Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The Dutch Fire was reported around 12:50 p.m. near I-80 and Ridge Road in Dutch Flat, Cal Fire said. As of 3:20 p.m. the fire covered 25 acres and was 0% contained.
