BURLINGTON — Burlington-Edison High School chemistry teacher Paul Pihl didn’t take a traditional path to the classroom.

He started on his career path while he was an art student studying abroad in Spain and Ecuador. And while he could’ve taught art or Spanish, it was an art conservation class that helped him hone the chemistry skills he now teaches.
